Supernatural 5x17 "99 Problems"

What....did I just watch?

I think I'm pissed. I'm not sure. What.

NEVERMIND. FUCK THAT, MY BLOOD IS BOILING. RAAAAAAAAAAAAGEE.

EDIT: I think I managed to somewhat coherently explain about my grievances with the ending in the comments. Oy.

'What's really bothering me though, is the thought that that it may play a part in the overall storyline in season 6; to have Dean settle with her and Ben.
That exactly what I thought too. The same thing happened on Stargate: Atlantis (now there was an out of the blue relationship).

I'm so weird, in all my other shows I was hoping for that happy ending because I felt the characters deserved it after seasons and seasons of angst. With Supernatural however, I just can't see it happening - at least not organically. I will punch someone if they do a flash forward or even a reset in season 6.

Me neither. Happy just doesn't work with SPN.

Well... Ben Edlund said that season six would be pushing the reset button in a lot of ways. Whether that means the show goes back to a season one feel with Dean and Sam hunting monsters every week (TPTB do seem to love MOTW stand alone episodes) or they do a the-Apocalypse-
was-just-a-dream kind of reset (that would just be insulting) is anyone's guess. Either way there is a whole lot that could go wrong with season six. Especially now that Sera Gamble will be show runner instead of Kripke next season.

The season one feel I don't mind, but if it's like their reward that they don't remember it all or whatever...idk I'm overthinking it, I know. It's just that up until now we at least had an overarching storyline to follow, with them ending it this season and starting something new I feel completely unsure about what's gonna happen.

tbh I'd love some apocalypse clean-up next year but that's just me lol

Agreed. The Apocalypse (and Mytharc in general) is such a big part of the show that to say the Apocalypse never happened would be not only be a cop out but I would have a hard time investing in the show if they're just going to throw canon out the window like that. I'm still not happy that the writers have basically forgotten about Cassie.

You and me both.

It's not just you :D
