Supernatural 6x04 "Weekend at Bobby's"

PARTY HARD

LET'S BREAK IT DOWN Y'ALL

Things I have an unnatural passionate affection for/loved/liked
- CROWLEY! GROWLEY! ♥
- The Crowley and Bobby conversations were A+, I fucking loved how they made fun of eachother.
- Crowley's real name is Fergus MacLeod, and he wore a kilt. How Highlander, which brings me too....
- INTERNATIONAL SUPERNATURAL! IN SCOTLAND NO LESS OMFG OMFG I WAS JUST THERE A FEW WEEKS AGO AND IT'S AWESOME ♥♥♥ Dean in a plane for 9 hours! Winchesters cooped up in a small British car awww XD LOVE!!! I NEED WINCHESTERS IN KILTS NOW, DAMMIT, CATER TO MY NEEDS BITCHES.
- Grumpy old men! I never really understood fandom's appreciation for Rufus before but dammit he's a funny old bastard.
- Marcy the neighbor! Aww she was so cute and I felt bad for her, I hope she gets over her little... shock.
- DEATH BY WOODCHIPPER! Unsurprisingly effective
- CROWLEY WAS A TAILOR. Might be why he took it so personally when his own tailor got eaten...
- He called Sam "Moose" again :'D

Things that made me go :/
- No Impala :(
- The whole "selfish" part and chew-out seemed a bit unwarranted but I guess they needed the ~drama.
- Could've used more Sam.

NEXT WEEK: uunf Vampire!Dean, ugh Lisa - this relationship shit might be resolved soon and Rufus likes this, don't ya Rufus?

Final verdict: I didn't expect much from this episode tbh - beyond the Jensen directing thing at least - I'm not really a Bobby fan and the last Bobby-centric episode almost made me fall asleep. I also thought the lack of Sam and Dean would be a turn off, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised to say the least, Crowley and Rufus really livened things up.

I LOVED IT

Warning, the following statements may come off as Acklesass kissing: I thought I'd focus lot on the direction this episode but it felt natural, which is great because the better the direction the more you focus on what's going on instead of how it's done(I AM LOOKING AT YOU ZOOM GIFS). The pacing was great, the lighting as well and never once did I get bored.
It's the first episode this season that I went all AAAAAAAAAH OMG and flailed, it felt so much like ~Supernatural, hell OLD-SCHOOL SUPERNATURAL even, unlike the blah feeling I got during the others(shirtless scenes excluded of course!). About damn time considering it's the fourth episode already, so FOUR FOR YOU JENSEN COCO, FOUR FOR YOU ♥ not bad for a first timer, Manners would be proud ♥

Best episode this season so far, imo.

'I just don't care about them, the few times it's been on screen I was always like, can we get a move on?'
Me too. At this point Lisa and Ben are just props for Dean angst over because that relationship/those characters have been given no development and the writers missed several opportunities to do that. But than I always got the feeling that the writer were going to use the time skip to put Dean in that relationship without actually writing it.

'LOL oh Rufus <3'
I loved that scene.
