Supernatural 6x03 "The Third Man"
*puts on Marvin Gaye*

...oh yes.

Things I am in lust with/have an unnatural passionate affection for/loved/liked
- GLORY GLORY HALLELUUUUUUJAH GRATUITOUS, DELISHUS HALF-NAKED MEN. AND I JIZZED IN MY PANTS. DEM ARMS, DEM PECS, DAT BACK, oh how they glisten, oh they move, so firm. DID I JUST SEE A ~DUSTING OF CHEST HAIR? Holy Hipbones of Doom, Batman *brain shortcircuits* ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥&hearts /Becky moment
- Ahem. DEATH OF ZE DOUCHEMOBILE. We hardly knew ye, yet... I don't care >:D Impala looked gawgeous as always, you go get it gurl.
- The misuse of quotation marks LOL, "I think we can rule Moses out as a suspect" "Charles Heston's disco stick" - I've missed the one-liners after such blehness ngl.
- Sam's indignation, oh bb &hearts

- Bigger budget, they really do seem to have a bigger production going on which is always good. No Rock tho :(
- NO CAMPBELLS, +1.

Things that peaked my interest
- Balthazar. Total bitch and self-serving, yet kinda sympathetic... reminds me of Gabriel. I miss Gabriel :( r.i.p. bb

Things that made me go :/
- In what would would Sam need to pay for sex? especially with that body nghh come to mama, I know I know it ties up to the ~disconnected feeling we get from him, yet I miss the s1-2 Sam who wanted a connection first :( and his non-reaction to the kid getting hurt...I mean, I get what's going on with Sam a big part of this season but I just can't warm up to it. Return to season 1 my ass, Sam was never this cold, neither was Dean if they're going for the whole ~rolereversal shit. They are setting up for something bad going on with Sam - soul issues maybe? - and it better be fricking worth it.
- TOO MUCH INFORMATION. No not that kind. Just, once again, too much stuff crammed into the episode. The pacing is still shit. The characterization still feels weird.
- Getting kinda tired of the angel stuff ngl.

Things I couldn't care less about
- Still don't give a crap about the Ben and Lisa shit. The ep. 4-6 preview looked promising, don't let me down.

All in all: Entertaining episode, yet at the end it kinda left me thinking "...that's it?" again, the pacing is still so off imo. It's the third episode already and I haven't yet warmed up to what they've done to the characters or wtf they have going on. Not good.
I'll just focus on the pretty then, MAN-FLESH HELLOOOOOOO~~~~~ it's my happy place.

The pacing was definitely ridiculous this ep; I got mental whiplash x_x;;; But then again Sam's naked workout kinda knocked me senseless from the start lolol. I need to rewatch and like, take notes or something.

I really hope the big ~reveal~ about what's going on with Sam isn't going to be lame :( And I hope they don't make him the bad guy AGAIN. I'm just so sick of Sam being weak/wrong/evil/bad and Dean being the righteous/good/kind/martyr. CAN THEY JUST FIX IT AND BECOME BBFS (BEST BROS FOREVER) AGAIN?

It was like 2 episodes compressed into 1 or smth idk it was a miracle I processed anything after the workout scene XD

I'm also hoping they have a good explanation for it but I'm also kinda annoyed they went down this route again, I hate it when they pin the boys up against each other like this.

Sorry for such a long comment
'- Still don't give a crap about the Ben and Lisa shit. The ep. 4-6 preview looked promising, don't let me down.'
I don't care either. As for the preview, I kind of wish Lisa was going to be the one to walk away (I just want her to be anything other than a prop in Dean's story) but I get the feeling it's going to be Dean who walks away for Lisa's own good. I say this as someone who had wanted to like Lisa, but if they don't end that relationship I'll be so irritated because Lisa and the relationship are just so badly written/handled. The entire reason that relationship (which took place largely off-screen thanks to the time skip) seems to exist is just so Dean has even more angst over (as if his seemingly never ending brotherly angst with Sam wasn't enough) and Lisa's just a prop because she has so little characterization and no backstory. Did she really have so little of a life outside of Dean the being with a man with PTSD was the best year of her life?

Considering that I heard Sera originally wanted Dean to become a house husband with a baby because she thought it would be cute, it could be a WHOLE LOT worse. I'm sorry, but Dean as a house husband just screams OOC bad-fic to me, did Sera even watch It's a Terrible Life?

'I've missed the one-liners after such blehness ngl.'
Me too. I always love Ben's one liners.

'- Balthazar. Total bitch and self-serving, yet kinda sympathetic... reminds me of Gabriel.'
You're not the first person what has said that, but he reminded me of future!Cas; they both have orgies, both do drugs and his 'do coke and jump on the bed' line reminded me of future!Cas' 'bang a few gongs' line. Maybe once angles get cut loose so to speak they go Angels Gone Wild. They don't really seem to think in shades of gray but extremes. On a side note, I bet his hate sex with Crowley would be biblical.

'It's the third episode already and I haven't yet warmed up to what they've done to the characters or wtf they have going on. Not good.'
I hear you. I haven't been really excited by Supernatural in awhile (I didn't even bother watching 6x02) and while I was looking forward to this episode that was just because Ben wrote it and he's always been one of my favorite writers. When I heard Sera was going to become show runner I was concerned (I've never really liked her writing) and sadly she hasn't really done anything to impress me so far. Sam is somehow not right and Sam and Dean are at odds, must be Thursday Friday. *yawn*

I kind of thought having Balthazar AND Raphael was too much.

It was, it was like the pilot again in that regard, too many characters being introduced/re-introduced. They could've easily spread all of this out over a few episodes, idk what the hurry is in general.

I suppose it's because we can only have angels in episodes where Cas appears. So we have to get all angels in now! (not sure when Cas is going to appear again)

it's unclear at this point tbh, there hasn't been any news on Cas being any of the announced episodes left but Misha tweeted a picture from set a while ago so we might see him once or twice before Hellatus
